Location: Deva Kirubai Social Help Association (DKSHA) is located on National High Way 45 between Trichirappalli and Dindigul towns of state Tamilnadu. The nearby town is Manaparai, which is about 384 kilometres away from Chennai (Madras), the Capital of Tamilnadu.
The center is located on a plot that has extended over the years. The three bigger main buildings are used for both staff, children and teaching.
The first house has 3 floors and a smaller veranda. On the first floor you find the office and a bigger room mainly used as the girls’ bedroom, but also for bigger gatherings. The second floor contains the main meeting hall where both teaching and meetings take place.
The second house has one floor, a useable roof and also a small veranda. The big room in this building is the boys’ bedroom, but is also used for gatherings and yoga sessions. You also find a kitchen, reading and dining room, store room, hand washing room, sick room, warden room and a night toilet. In front of the building you find a big yard that is used for playing, praying and studying.
Close to the second building, you will find the third main building. This building has two floors, a useable roof, one veranda and game hall. Along these two rooms the veranda is situated and used for teaching. On the second floor there’s one room used as a seed bank, one medicine room, the production unit and also the balcony. In other words, you find three rooms on this floor.
Beside these 3 main buildings the center contains one house for volunteers and guests, a sewing house (for the rural village girls who learn and also stitch clothing and other garments) a stable, toilets and a kitchen.
